MY APPROACH TO ADHD COACHING
You are naturally creative, resourceful and whole.
That’s my guiding belief that shapes how I approach my work as an ADHD coach.
Many of the clients I’ve worked with are trying to be neurotypical and find ways to fix their “flaws.” But you aren’t broken. I believe managing your ADHD should be done using a strengths-based perspective.
“What is a strengths-based perspective?”
It’s the idea that you can use your strengths to help support areas of your life where you may be struggling.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION
I coach at the point of need, meeting clients where they are on their journey. In order to maximize the benefits of coaching, clients should show up to our sessions with an intention. We can then identify the direction you want to go, what is getting in the way, and what you are willing to do to move forward.
Together, we will build your Personal Operations Manual to provide structure, strategies, and tools to support you. In addition, we will focus on progress, embracing your neurodiversity, and working with your beautiful brain to make sustainable changes that improve your life.
When I work with college students, we will take time to pull together assignments from their school portal, discuss what’s coming up, and reflect on past performance. By taking the time to reflect, my clients begin to identify what study strategies work and what ones they want to change. We also touch base about other issues impacting them such as time management, medication management, sleep, hygiene, and their social life.
